42workspace COVID-19 Update #2
Hopefully, you are in good health and you’re doing OK during these turbulent times! The 42 crew and I miss the 42 vibe and all the great people and moments we share within our community. These moments make me realize again why I started 42workspace. Working and sharing moments with like-minded people around you is truly valuable and I am looking forward to bringing everyone back together again. Yesterday, it was the 3rd anniversary of our tech hub and also my birthday, but unfortunately, this isn’t a time for celebrations. Now, we have just received the news that the official social distancing policy will be prolonged until the 28th of April.
Probably like you, we had some time to adjust to the reality of the coronavirus and its impact on our daily lives and our businesses. We have learned to work from home, alone, or together with the family and kids around. We still need to find out how this will affect business, our community, and our members.
By law, we are obliged to close the restaurant and gym until further notice. Additionally, the government strongly suggests working at home if possible. Please respect their suggestions, and keep a minimum of 1,5 meters distance when you are around people. Wash your hands as often and as well as possible.
We have made an overview of some useful articles that can help our community members, which has been updated recently. Currently, there are some possibilities and programs that can help your business, but unfortunately there are no serious measures that apply to most startups. We are in close contact and in talks with the municipality of Rotterdam, Innovation Quarter, UP!Rotterdam, Techleap.nl and other innovation hubs to clarify the problems, find solutions and measures to help our community. They do understand the value of a strong ecosystem and are fully pushing for big financial support for startups, funded by municipalities, Innovation Quarter, InvestNL, TechLeap and the ministry of economic affairs. Once available, we will share this information as soon as possible. Please also refer Techleap.nl’s list of known resources to help your startup.
Next to this, we are also looking for other ways to support our members with their challenges. In order to better understand the specific needs of our members (and especially so we can know if there are any very urgent matters we can help with) we are opening a form so you can let us know if you are facing any challenges. Alternatively, if you can offer support of any kind to other community members, you can use the same form. Information is of course, strictly confidential.

You can also refer to this very short guide about how you can set up your event in an online format. Let us know!
